Artistry can be regarded as one of the core aspects of music education.
It is important, however, to realise that the concept of artistry
has to be observed in many different contexts. In this book artistry is
not only related to performance of high art, it also refers to all kinds
of musical activities in school related situations. The book focusses
on three main areas: the concept of artistry, pupilsí artistry and the
artistry of music teachers.
